THE STORY

Founded by Stacey Duguid: the woman who lifted the lid on the fact midlife women can’t access the workplace. What we do from here is up to us.

Who We Are

After being made redundant, Stacey Duguid found herself confronting discrimination based on both her age and her sex as she tried to return to work.

Stacey’s experience struck a nerve!

Women began sharing their own stories of ageism, rejection and being overlooked. What started as one woman speaking out became a growing collective voice. ENCORE was created to turn those individual experiences into collective action. Today, ENCORE brings together women aged 45+ to share their experiences, support one another and stand together, while campaigning to change the systems and culture that exclude experienced women from work.
